Do you have an Emergen-C product for children?

• Yes, we have Emergen-C Kidz® which comes in three great-tasting, kid-tested flavors: Grape, Fruit Punch, and Orange. These are just like our regular Emergen-C formula except with vitamin levels more appropriate for children ages 4-13.

What is the best way to mix up a packet of Emergen-C fizzy wonderfulness?

• We like ours not too fizzy and not too flat. We put the powder in a glass, add four to six ounces of water, let it fizz up, let it fizz down, and then drink it up. Some folks like to put the powder in a glass, add water, stir once or twice, and then drink it down. We have found that people who have tender stomachs might be a bit uncomfortable with the fizzing going on in their stomach. Sensitive stomachs seem to like it better when the fizz in the glass has gone away. The Emergen-C will still taste great and still has a delightful, effervescent, tasty personality.

How soon does Emergen-C vitamin drink mix need to be consumed after it is made?

• We recommend consuming Emergen-C within about ten minutes of mixing it up. It's just fine if you wish to mix up a packet ahead of time...and keep it cool. You could even use a bit less water and add an ice cube or two to keep it cold. Try to drink it up the same day you mix it up.

Can I drink Emergen-C vitamin drink mix hot?

• Yes, you can drink Emergen-C hot. Just remember that the hotter the water, the “fizzier” the reaction will be when you pour in the powder. So take care, because while with Emergen-C you can FEEL THE GOOD, we don’t want you feeling the good while mixing (if you get our drift).

Will Emergen-C retain its nutrients if it is mixed with juices, teas, or other liquids instead of water?

• Yes…Enjoy!

Why did you change your packaging?

• We wanted to make Emergen-C easier to find on the shelf; easier to choose the flavor that is right for you; and easier to differentiate our specialty products, like multi-vitamins and Joint Health*, from Original Emergen-C. Our fun, bright colors help do all of this. At the same time, we moved the Supplement Facts and Directions to a larger section for easier reading, and we added age recommendations. We love the new delicious-looking packaging and hope you do too.

Were your fizzy drink mix products changed when you changed your packaging?

• Just a pinch. The amount of vitamins remained the same, but we increased the natural fruit flavorings and tweaked the blend of sweeteners on Raspberry and Tangerine for an even better taste!

Is Emergen-C available in recyclable or bulk packaging?

• Our Emergen-C vitamin drink mix is moisture-sensitive and effervescent, so individual airtight packages are necessary to keep the powder dry inside. Consequently, we are not able to offer bulk packaging. All Emergen-C boxes are recyclable, however.

What efforts are you making to help our environment?

• We reduced the size of our new boxes by 6% which results in less manufacturing, less shipping, and less paper waste. They are also printed using bio-renewable, solvent-free, vegetable-based inks to help keep chemicals out of the environment, and they are 100% recyclable. To top it all off, our new smaller boxes are FSC certified.

Are your products made in the U.S.A.?

• Yes. All of our Emergen-C products are either manufactured in our Foothill Ranch, CA or Carlisle, PA facilities.

What do you do to assure the quality and safety of your ingredients?

• We test 100% of our incoming raw materials to confirm that what we received is what we ordered. We use very sophisticated laboratory equipment which takes a near infrared fingerprint of all incoming raw materials, and it compares that fingerprint to our approved raw materials library. If it does not match, the ingredient is rejected.

What is the source of the Bermuda Triangle’s awesome power?

• The energizing* B vitamins in Emergen-C, of course!

Can I take Emergen-C while pregnant or nursing?

• As with all supplements, we recommend that you consult your health professional before use.

Can I take Emergen-C with my medications?

• Ditto. Please consult with your health professional before taking Emergen-C with medications.

Do your products contain gluten?

• All Emergen-C products are free of gluten from wheat, oats, rye, and barley.

Is the fructose in Emergen-C from high fructose corn syrup?

• No, we use purified fructose.

Do your products contain MSG?

• No, neither Alacer nor our suppliers add or use MSG in any product we use. Alacer uses natural fruit flavors and fruit juice powders that are of such high quality they do not require the use of MSG to enhance their flavor.

Are your products free of GMO?

• We have chosen to source materials that are non-GMO whenever possible. That being said, we cannot guarantee that all of our raw materials are sourced from non-GMO ingredients and do not currently have this requirement in place for our vendors.

Is aspartic acid the same as aspartame?

• No, aspartame is a chemically formed sugar substitute that bonds L-phenylalanine to aspartic acid. On the other hand, the aspartic acid which we use in Emergen-C, is an amino acid readily found in foods such as fish, legumes, dairy, whole grains, eggs, meats, nuts, and seeds. We use this pure L-Aspartic Acid which has the same structure as that found in foods.

Do you use artificial dyes to color Emergen-C?

• No, we use natural ingredients to color Emergen-C, such as vegetable juice color, natural beet color, etc.

Which of your products contain animal derivatives?

• Joint Health* contains chondroitin, which is bovine-derived. Joint Health* is shell-fish free.

• Pink Lemonade and Immune Defense* contain honey.

• Vitamin D & Calcium, all Multi-vitamin products (Cherry-Pomegranate and Apricot-Mango), and our Immune+ System Support* with vitamin D products (Citrus and Blueberry-Acai) contain vitamin D3, which is derived from lanolin, which is from wool.

Why did you take a price increase on your Super Gram tablets?

• Manufacturers worldwide are subject to increased raw material costs. Our costs for our Super Gram tablets rose 23%. While we didn’t pass along all of the increased costs, regretfully, we needed to take a 12% price increase.
